I had the privilege of meeting Mohammed Sharaz, his son Salahuddin and friend Mohammed Kareem today.
You have probably heard of them. Their pictures were all over the news the last few days for taking pictures and recording videos at Pacific Center Mall.
What was striking about this situation was the reason for the pictures: to have lasting memories of their trip to Vancouver. This is especially important to Salahuddin and Mohammed Kareem because they are here for vision treatment. Salahuddin relies on these pictures and videos to see and appreciate these things. He’s been robbed on that special gift to appreciate the wonders of the world when he sees it. And they were relying on a cell phone camera.
I am not a photography expert, but a dedicated camera and camcorder will give a sharper, clearer picture than the cell phone they had.
Today Aaj Magazine gave them a new camcorder for their stay in Vancouver; to take these precious memories of our beautiful city home. To show that Vancouver is more than what they experienced.
